On the second day of my holiday i decided to walk to the castlerigg stone circle, again i decided to leave the car at campsite and walk to the circle, on the walk there were good views of Skiddaw and Blencathra which was a nice bonus.

After taking in the views i eventually made it to the circle (after being passed by lots of cars that parked up opposite the circle). Upon entering the field that the circle is located there is a information board with an aerial view of the stone circle.

After a wander around the circle (trying to get a pic without people in it) i left the circle and decided to try my hand at some time-lapse photography, after walking for a while i found a stone wall with a good view of Blencathra i set up my camera and an hour later (after getting several funny looks from people wondering what a bloke was doing standing behind a wall for an hour) this was my result.

Whilst i was waiting for my time lapse to complete the RAF gave me a flypast
